New in Germany: Vivaro van with up to 8.6 cubic meters load volume

Modest consumption: Four highly modern turbo diesels with 90 to 140 hp

Rüsselsheim.  Versatile, flexible and extensively equipped – the new Opel Vivaro is the right vehicle for many needs. The Combi variant of the Opel all-rounder will celebrate its world premiere at the IAA Commercial Vehicles (September 23 to October 2) on the Opel stand in Hall 12 where it can be seen by its native audience for the first time. The second generation of the van bestseller offers considerably more space and additional load volume compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, it is available as a Doublecab and platform chassis.

Panel van, Combi and Doublecab variants are all available in two chassis lengths (4,998 or 5,398mm), the panel van is also offered in two different heights (1,971 or 2,465mm). However, compared to the predecessor, the new variants of the Vivaro have up to 100mm more loading space length. The cab has also been extended in length by 116mm. The changes obviously result in more load volume with the panel van offering up to 8.6 cubic meters. Drivers and passengers can use the additional space perfectly thanks to the numerous intelligent storage possibilities which are the main requirements for the new Opel Vivaro to function as a modern workhorse and mobile office.

The new Vivaro panel van is available from €23,590 net (€28,072.10 incl. VAT), the new Vivaro Combi starts at €25,485 net (€30,327.15 incl. VAT; RRP in Germany).

Well-equipped models for passengers and freight

The panel van has a standard closed bulkhead and waist-high side trim paneling in the load space. The sliding door on the passenger side is completely paneled just like the double-wing rear doors which allow an opening angle of 180 degrees. Chrome elements, the well-arranged dashboard of the panel van and the radio enhance the interior. An office bench seat with a fold-down centre section turns the Vivaro panel van into a mobile office. The seat can quickly be converted into a small writing desk revealing a removable clipboard and a storage compartment, suitable for your laptop.

The Combi provides as standard a removable three-seat bench in the second and third rows. In addition, the backrest in the third row is tiltable. The rear compartment is protected by interior trim paneling.

The Opel IntelliLink-Infotainment-System with a seven inch color touchscreen and navigation function, which is available for the first time for the Vivaro, guarantees perfect digital connectivity to the outside world. Map updates can be accessed via USB download. Telephone calls via Bluetooth and audio streaming are also possible. In addition, features such as keyless access “Keyless Open & Start“ increase the comfort.

Two diesels, four output levels: Latest turbo technology for Vivaro

Two completely new turbo diesels in four output levels ensure an economical and lively drive. The available engines include the 1.6 CDTI with 66 kW/90 hp and 85 kW/115 hp along with the 1.6 BiTurbo CDTI engine with sequential charging and twin-cooler-system delivering 88 kW/120 hp and 103 kW/140 hp respectively. The two simultaneously operating turbo chargers ensure that this engine combines excellent performance with economic fuel consumption. The 88 kW Bi-Turbo driven Vivaro Combi can use as less as 5.7 liters per 100 Kilometers, which is equivalent to a CO2 emission of a mere 149 grams per Kilometer. These figures make the new version of the Opel all-rounder one of the leaders in its category.
